These include bouncing castles, electric trains, fun characters to show our love and encourage them to aspire to be whatever they want to be and live a better life than how they live presently. Weve had series of programmes for the physically-challenged in the areas of empowerment, educational sponsorship, vocational training and have equipped them with materials needed for their trade. Kwara's liberation story incomplete without late Omoiya - Belgore I received with shock the news of the sudden demise of Dr Sa'ad Yusuf Omoiya on Thursday afternoon. I join the entire Ilorin emirate to mourn the sad passage of Dr Omoiya. We condole with his immediate family and pray Allah to grant them the fortitude to bear the huge loss. We also commiserate with the academic and political communities in Ilorin in particular and Kwara as a whole where Dr Omoiya was a player. I want to place on record that the story of our subsisting struggle to liberate Kwara from the clutches of poor governance and demagoguery will be incomplete without mentioning the roles played by the likes of scholar politician Dr Omoiya before and during the general elections of 2011 when he served as Director General of the Mohammed Dele Belgore Campaign Organisation. May Allah SWT forgive his shortcomings and grant him al-janat. Kwara's liberation story incomplete without late Omoiya - Be

OPINION: Bukola Saraki's trial and Buhari's Pandora box. By Sulyman Kayode Maja

Image
OPINION: Bukola Saraki's trial and Buhari's Pandora box. By Sulyman Kayode Maja Pandora's box is an artefact in Greek mythology, taken from the myth of Pandora's creation in Hesiod's Works and Days. The "box" was actually a large jar given to Pandora which contained all the evils of the world. Pandora opened the jar and all the evils flew out, leaving only "Hope" inside once she had closed it again. Today the phrase "to open Pandora's box" means to perform an action that may seem small or innocent, but that turns out to have severely detrimental and far-reaching negative consequences. Form the clear narration above, one should sit carefully to analyse and decode the happening and actions of our dear president, the president should realise that the mandate given to him by Nigerians is a collective agitation of all citizen towards a dream to a better life. Many still sitting on the fence thinking this all charade is a fight ab

Speaking at the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) Marketers Conference in Lagos yesterday, Mohammed argued that the increment was needed to end the crippling fuel scarcity in the country and ensure availability of the product to Nigerians. China trip loan not for Lai Mohammed - AG. Director General, National Broadcasting Commission My attention has been drawn to a letter I endorsed to the Ag. Director General, National Broadcasting Commission requesting for a loan of N13,120,470.00 to cover tickets and travel expenses of a five-member delegation being led by the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, to Beijing, China, which was mischievously leaked to the social media by staff of National Broadcasting Commission.
